Seven Ways to Pray
What should I pray for Grace?
Most of us have the desire to pray for Grace Community Church, but we often do not know what to pray. At Wednesday’s Community Group Gathering, Pastor Scott gave seven ways to pray for Grace during the month of April. I encourage you to make these seven requests a part of your prayer life this month. To create structure, I have put Scott’s requests in the form of one request per day.
Monday: Hurting People at Grace
We all know people in our congregation who are hurting. Make a list of those you know and faithfully pray for them.
Tuesday: “The Disciple” Sermon Series and Community Group Theme
During April, sermons and Community Group discussions will be devoted to “The Disciple” series. We hope the result of this series will be the people of Grace growing into more obedient followers of Jesus. We also hope to see new people finding salvation and following Jesus. Pray for God to do this through “The Disciple” series.
Wednesday: Community Groups
Each Wednesday evening, there are 15 gatherings throughout Nashville devoted to mutual discipleship. We call these Community Groups. Pray that the result of April’s meetings will be real change in the people participating in the gatherings. Pray for more people actually following Jesus in their daily lives.
Thursday: Future Grace Phase 2 Giving Campaign
April is devoted to the Future Grace Phase 2 Giving Campaign. This will be a time calling everyone at Grace to participate in providing for the future of Grace Community Church. Pray that the people of Grace will participate in the campaign. Pray that the campaign will bring real spiritual fruit to those participating. Pray that the campaign will help us build a new building for discipleship and education.
Friday: Maximum Involvement
Each week there are numerous opportunities for you to contribute to the corporate life of Grace. “Maximum Involvement” comes when every person at Grace is following Jesus, participating in the body of Christ, and ministering to the world in his name. Pray that God would bring “Maximum Involvement” to Grace.
Saturday: Dave Wills, Elders, and Staff during the Construction Process
The construction on a new building for education and discipleship will begin soon. There are a group of people with many decisions to make during this process. Pray that God will give them wisdom and help.
Sunday: Joy
Grace will be called to respond to many calls in April. Pray that we will find joy in service, joy in ministry, joy in obedience to God, and joy in giving.
