A Disciple Is Changed by God
“The Disciple” is a series of sermons preached from the Gospel of Mark. The sermons in this series will guide our Community Group meetings in April. The desire is for every person at Grace to consider the following questions.
- What does it mean to follow Jesus?
- Am I a follower of Jesus?
- As a follower of Jesus, are there parts of my life that must change?
- Can the church help me follow Jesus
Groups will continue this journey with Wednesday’s discussion, “A Disciple Is Changed by God.” We will discuss the role of God’s grace in the life of a Christian. You can prepare yourself for tonight’s discussion by doing the following:
- Pray: Ask God to prepare you to hear from Him. Pray through the four questions listed earlier in this email. Pray that God would work in the lives of other people in your Community Group and at Grace.
- Read: Mark 7 will be the text that guides our discussion this evening. Read this text to prepare yourself.
- Consider: These questions will be asked tonight. Consider your answers to them in advance.
Discussion Questions:
- How is the heart of a disciple changed by the gospel of Jesus?
- How are the actions of a disciple changed by the gospel of Jesus?
- Why is important to consider a change of heart before a change of action? What does Mark 7 tell us about this?
- What changes has the gospel brought to your life?
- What changes of heart and action do you need to see in your life? How can your group pray for you in these areas?
